Ukraine and Italy Strengthen Intermunicipal Cooperation Within the International Summit

On June 26, 2026, the Fourth International Summit of Cities and Regions took place in Ukraine, attended by an official delegation from Italy consisting of representatives of the municipalities of Pescara, Spoltore, and the public organization GIOIA.

During the summit, the parties discussed the development of international intermunicipal cooperation, support for Ukrainian communities, exchange of experience, and the implementation of joint international initiatives.

A particularly important outcome was the signing of a Letter of Intent on partnership between the Municipality of Pescara (Italian Republic) and the Pisochyn Settlement Council (Ukraine). The signing took place with the support of the NGO GIOIA, the NGO Dobrobat, and the NGO “Friends of Ukraine – International Partnership Foundation”.

This step opens new opportunities for the development of cooperation between communities, the implementation of joint projects, and the strengthening of international partnership relations.
