International Forum “Ukraine – Italy” in Rome

On July 9, 2025, the International Forum on Partnership and Unity “Ukraine – Italy” took place in Rome as part of the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025 (URC 2025), officially under the status “On the Road to URC 2025.”

The forum brought together representatives of Ukrainian territorial communities, Italian municipalities, government bodies, international organizations, and businesses. The event served as an important platform for developing inter-municipal and international cooperation, discussing joint projects in reconstruction, humanitarian aid, education, culture, and infrastructure modernization.

The forum was supported by:

– NGO “International Partnership Fund ‘Friends of Ukraine’”
– NGO “Dobrobat”
– All-Ukrainian Association of Territorial Communities
– Association “National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy”

During the event, several partnership memorandums were signed:

– Erice and Truskavets
– Trapani and Nizhyn
– Silvi and Trostianets

In addition, the National Congress of Ukrainian Communities in Italy signed cooperation memorandums with 14 more Ukrainian communities.

These agreements serve as a starting point for practical collaboration, including:

• – implementation of humanitarian projects
• – support for education, healthcare, and culture
• – exchange of experience in local governance
• – development of critical infrastructure
• – cultural diplomacy and educational initiatives

The partnerships established in Rome demonstrate the genuine willingness of Italian cities to assist in Ukraine’s reconstruction. The forum once again confirmed that only together—through partnership, solidarity, and concrete action—can we ensure sustainable development for Ukraine on its path toward European integration.
