Ukrainian communities signed memorandums with Sicilian municipalities.

On September 20–21, the city of Trapani (Sicily) hosted the International Forum of Local Communities “Ukraine – Italy: Popoli oltre confini / Communities Without Borders.”
The event was organized with the support of the “Dobrobat” NGO, the “Friends of Ukraine” International Partnership Foundation, and the National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy.

Ukrainian communities from Chernihiv, Lviv, and Kyiv regions signed memorandums of cooperation with municipalities in Sicily.

• Kholmy community – City of Campobello di Mazara
• Borzna community – City of San Vito Lo Capo
• Truskavets community – City of Erice

The partnership agreements cover areas such as education, youth exchanges, culture, business development, social initiatives, and environmental cooperation.

Separately, Taras Shevchenko National University “Chernihiv Collegium” reached an agreement on academic cooperation with the University of Palermo.

The forum in Trapani marked an important step toward expanding international cooperation and supporting the recovery of Ukrainian communities.
