Ukraine – South Korea: Opening New Horizons for Communities

From October 27 to 31, 2025, a delegation of seven Ukrainian communities paid an international visit to Seoul (Republic of Korea) with the support of the NGO “FMP Friends of Ukraine” and the “Dobrobat” battalion. The purpose of the visit was to establish cooperation with Korean institutions and exchange experience in the fields of innovation, digitalization, education, urban development, and reconstruction.

Representatives of the communities visited key municipal and educational institutions, familiarized themselves with smart city technologies, and explored best practices in supporting local self-government. The Ukrainian delegation presented the potential of their communities as well as successful post-war recovery projects. The Korean side expressed interest in further cooperation, particularly in the areas of digital services, environmental technologies, and energy efficiency.

The visit became an important step in strengthening international ties and expanding partnership opportunities for Ukrainian communities.
