Resilient Education: International Conference in Bari Brings Together Ukraine and Europe
On April 28, in Bari, at the University of Bari Aldo Moro, the international educational conference “Resilient Education: Practices of Intercultural Recovery between Italy and Ukraine” took place.
The event was organized by the National Congress of Ukrainian Associations in Italy, Dobrobat NGO, and Friends of Ukraine Foundation.
The conference brought together representatives of the education sector from Ukraine and European countries, serving as a platform for professional dialogue and the search for joint solutions. Participants included representatives of 14 Ukrainian communities, a delegation from the Chernihiv Collegium National University led by Oleh Sheremet, as well as international partners from Italy, Croatia, and Greece.
Among the speakers was Pina Picierno, Vice-President of the European Parliament, who joined online, along with representatives of the University of Bari Aldo Moro: Domenica Lagramen, Head of Academic Programs and Student Services; Elisabetta Todisco, Director of the Department of Humanities and Innovation; and Professor Fausta Scardigno, Head of the same department.
From the Ukrainian side, the speakers included Olha Lozova, Tetiana Kamenshchuk, Petro Korzhevskyi, and Marianna Marusynets.
Participants discussed the role of education in times of challenges, exchanged experiences, and agreed on further development of partnerships and joint initiatives.
The conference confirmed that education is not only a field of knowledge, but also a powerful instrument of resilience, unity, and shaping the future.
