“Football for Peace”: International U13 Tournament Held in Cassano delle Murge
On May 22, 2026, on the initiative of NGO “International Partnership Fund ‘Friends of Ukraine’” and Congresso Nazionale delle Associazioni Ucraine in Italia, the Stryzhavka Settlement Council and the Municipality of Cassano delle Murge signed a memorandum of partnership, which became the foundation for the development of international cooperation between the communities.
As part of the partnership initiatives, the international U13 football tournament “Football for Peace” took place in Cassano delle Murge in May 2026, bringing together children from Ukraine, Italy, Poland, and Germany.
The Ukrainian delegation was represented by young football players from the Stryzhavka community, who participated in sports competitions, cultural meetings, and international youth exchange activities. The trip to Italy was organized within the framework of developing partnership relations between the communities.
The tournament became a symbol of unity, friendship, and support for children through sports, as well as another important step toward strengthening international relations between Ukraine and Italy.
