Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026: New International Partnerships Between Ukrainian and Italian Communities
On 25–26 June 2026, the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 (URC 2026) took place in Gdańsk, Poland, bringing together representatives of governments, international organizations, businesses, municipalities, and regions to discuss Ukraine’s recovery and the development of international partnerships.
Within the framework of the conference, and with the support of the International Partnership Foundation «Friends of Ukraine» and the GIOIA Association (Italy), a series of Letters of Intent were signed between Ukrainian and Italian municipalities, establishing new partnerships:
• The Municipality of Rapino and the Sarny City Territorial Community;
• The Municipality of Rapino and the Balakliia City Territorial Community;
• The Municipality of San Vito Chietino, the Savyntsi Settlement Military Administration, and the Solone Settlement Council;
• The Municipality of Pescara and the Rivne City Territorial Community;
• The Municipality of Pescara and the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration.
In addition, a Letter of Intent was signed online between the Municipality of Spoltore and the Slavutych City Territorial Community.
These agreements create new opportunities for cooperation in the fields of local self-government, education, culture, youth exchanges, humanitarian initiatives, and Ukraine’s post-war recovery, while further strengthening partnerships between Ukrainian and Italian communities.
